CAD said: Caller claimed to be with Microsoft Support which I already know for a fact he was not, gave me a obviously fictitious name and employee number and when asked for his immediate supervisors name and employee number he finally hung up on me.
anonymous said: Severely accented man called. Mispronounced my name. I asked who was calling. He started to give his "scripted speech". I immediately interrupted him and again ask who was calling. I was then disconnected.
anonymous said: He called claiming to be in New York and told me I had won first place in mega millions sweepstakes. He wanted to bring me a certified check for 2.5 million dollars this afternoon at a certain time and told me that he would escort me to my bank. He said they were not going to collect the 1% tax, $750 but that I would have to pay that to the government. Since I do not have a fax machine, he said he would mail me the information or email it to me. I did not give him my email but he had my home phone number and my street address. I knew this had to be a scam because I do not play mega millions lottery.
