Caller called, said he was from USAA, extremely polite. Also knew how many accounts I had with USAA including the payment amounts. He said that it was a courtesy call and to inform me of new programs starting up with USAA considering the state of the financial market recently. And said a new service that is starting is where I may be able to get a deferment from my car payment since I was laid off. I think it was USAA and they saw that there has been a drastic change in my depositts for the last months (laid off) and they need to make sure I can pay my acccounts with them. So he said he would make a note on my account to be called to furher discuss a future deferment or payment plan to get back on my feet. I'll wait for the call and see and in the mean time I'll call USAA to verify that there is a note on my account and the call was legit.
