I tried to register with donotcall.com site but obviously that does not help. I even changed my number , I do not want to change it again. I pray tell someone comes up with a solution. because unfortunately that's only one number of many.

He proceeded to tell me that i needed to go back to sleep, then went on to tell me to "put the pipe down" get off the pot, he said i was the stupidest person he'd ever spoken to- i asked for a manager, he told me i was too stupid to speak to a manager- It was the craziest phone call i have ever received. I didnt catch the company name however.

Oriental-sounding guy saying he was calling re my Visa card and how I've used it for a long time. (All my answers were "un huh") So I qualified for a very complicated sounding $100 gift card program. I let him go on to use up his time when I suddenly broke in and said, I know who you are and I'm reporting you to the authorities immediately. AND take me off your list. Guy panicked "What!!? How do you know?!!!??? Who are you???!!" I hung up. He then started auto calling me back over and over for about 5 minutes as I simultaneously answered/hung up. FYI, never bought Snuggies. Any ideas on who I should report this number to? Thanks! C.

I never received any money from any payday loan place that was ever deposited in my account. He claimed all of this happened in 2008, but he couldn't even provide me with an alleged actual date any loan funds was supposed to be wired to me. And, he couldnt' even provide me with information to the place that I had supposedly got the loan from. This was my first time ever receiving any type of call . The individual on the phone also told me that if I didnt' pay him $5,000 to take care of the matter that he was going to have me charged with check fraud and two other make-believe charges used just to tyr and get money from me.
The calls are believed to be coming from India. However, the individuals have found out a very tricky way it seems to make it appear as if they are calling from within the U.S. through manipulation of phone numbers. These individuals are taking so called phone numbers that would make it as if they are located in California (408 Area Code), when in fact you are talking to people based out of India that have obtained people's personal information towards perpetrating fraud against U.S. citizens. This is truly sad and I do hope that the government does something to put an end to this.
People have fallen for these phony pitches that an individual ownes money on a payday loan account that doesn't exist or that was originally paid off a long time ago. Do not give these people any money, do not believe these people when they say they are attorneys, government officials, have any ties to the police, or even are real debt collectors. Take them as exactly what they are, which happens to be scammers. Document their number and file complaints on them with your local State Attorney General's Office, Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, and if you want to go one step further you can even file a complaint about them to the FBI. Hopefully, with the more complaints, then the adequate action can be taken to get these individuals operations shut down for good.
