I don't know what they are calling about, but I have no delinquent debt. It sounds from other comments that they can be bullies. I will be prepared for them.
Rootboy said: Total scam--every person I spoke with has thick spanish accent. I have annoyed them to no end by repeatedly calling them back and asking the same script of them--what a laugh. They are trolls just trolling for suckers that fall for their fabricated debt collecting--They will not even give you their physical mailing address as required by law.
Al said: Received a call from this number with a person acting as an agent from the IRS, wanted me to call them back because there was something wrong with my tax papers he said, if I could not call him he told me to have my lawyer call him on his personal number. This guys sounded like somebody from a foreign country. IRS will send me a letter if there is really a problem with my tax return, never heard of them calling people that would be very time consuming. STUPID SCAMMERS!!!
James Campbell said: I called the number back and it was a collection agency. It was determined I was the wrong party. 2 days later, they left a threatening message on my answering machine.
I called them back and reached an answering machine and told them they had already established I was the wrong party.
Sick & Tired said: This number belongs to CBV collections in Vancouver/Burnaby B.C. I have explained to them well over a hundred times that they are calling the wrong number and I block them every single time. I block their numbers but then they call me with a new phone number! SOOOO frustrating!!! However report to your phone service and after it's reported 3x it's legally considered harrassment!

Left case numbers as well as call back number and a message with a very snotty woman saying you've been served. I called back the number and with using the case number they provided me with was able to get way to far with getting information. They never tried to verify who they were talking to. I admitted to not being them and pointed out that they were technically leaving illegal messages on voicemails.
Steph said: When a call comes in on my phone from this number and I let it go to voicemail they leave nothing, when I answer they hang up. I have even called the number back and I have never gotten through to a live person the recording just says "This is an attempt to collect a debt leave your name etc. and an agent from CBE will return your call." Ok, like I'm going to leave info on a voicemail to people that won't answer when you call back, leave a voicemail when you can't answer your phone or even talk to you when you do answer their call. So I have had to block their number. They call 3-5 times a day for a month then they stop for a week then it starts again.Even if they are legit I wouldn't pay them a dime after getting those calls while my boyfriend was passing away from pancreatic cancer and he passed away in my arms at home 2 months later and all the while these people were harassing me without even speaking. This needs to be stopped.
