Phone Caller Type: Non-Profit Organization

Called at 7:30 pm. No message. I called the number & it's the Sally Anne's Christmas Help or Appeal line.

Lady refused to stop calling unless she spoke to the man of the household. Luckily my husband was home sick, so I handed the phone to him, who told her we weren't interested and that he was going to hang up. She wanted the eldest male, but my 91 year old partially deaf father would've just hung up on her, too.

I called back this number and got a recording saying that I had reached one of the numbers for Amvets.

Called today at ~ 1:30pm Pacific; some stress homeowners hotline (claims to be non-profit).  Submitted complaint with the FTC/Do Not Call list.

This IS the extension for the JCU Student Call Center, where they hire students (on commission) to call and ask for donations to the university.

Since they're paid on commission, the students don't leave voicemails but rather call as many people as they can while they are working.

Called on 12-5.  Called again on 12-7.  Caller ID says it's a cell phone.  I answered it only because the company I work for is in DC.  As soon as I say hello, they hang up.  I looked the number up on the White Pages reverse lookup, and it says it's a number belonging to Charles Middleton.  When I call it back, it get a voice mail for Strategic Fundraising, a "non-profit company" that does politcal fundraisers.  Now that we have this number and a name and a company, we can report them because we're on the do not call list as well.  Hope this helps you all.

Called the number back and hit 4# and left message to remove our phone number and quit harrassing.

They keep calling my house every damn day!!  Give it up already!!  It's some kind of precinct 5 sheriff's association or something.  I don't even live in Houston!!!

At 7:15pm 12-4-08 I got a call from 281-477-0812 from a man stating he was with the Texas Highway Patrol. I hung up. He called right back and
he asked me why I hung up. I told him I did not want to talk to him.
He then cursed at me with "F--- YOU" and he hung up. When I checked caller
ID it showed TX HWY PATROL ASSOC.  This is a very unprofessional way to
do business and I would suggest AVOID calls from this number at all costs!
Anyone who behaves like that is not professional and is not to be trusted.
BTW - Having your name on the "Do Not Call List" does not protect you from
503c non-profit solicitations.

They call ALL of the time ,and when you answer the phone they just hang up if they truely want to scam me out of my hard earned cash then the should at least have the courtesy of talking when they call someone.
