HarleyQuinn said: So this number only calls me when I'm at home alone or with only one of my friends. My family doesn't believe the number exists, nor that they've been calling me. I've tried all the tricks I know, including "what color is your underwear?" They just sit in silence breathing into the phone. It pisses me off because they don't talk and will not leave me alone. I've asked them to take me off the calling list and they just laugh a bit and hang up. Best advise is to ignore it.

Probably you already know that these calls get through even with Privacy Block activated with the phone company. So, my phone does what the telephone company should or won't do. After activating the block, I noticed they don't bother calling any more. You might consider the new, not the old, Telezapper too because it does a decent job of knocking off computer robo calls. It's not perfect, but it has cut my nuisance calls to almost zero..

When I clicked on ithe address a strange noise came from my computer like an acceleration of the computer fan. I immediately got off the Internet but the noise still continued. I shut down the computer. When I started the computer the noise was gone.

Unlike this site where I am posting this comment, the address I went to showed an aspx extension instead of com or net or seomething else. This can be indicative of a script that ran as soon as anyone clicked on the site.

The power to make a call from 000-000-0000 on your caller ID brings the phone company into the mix, and the possible working together with the government.

Yeaya said: In most cases your phone number is not new, it is recycled. Meaning, someone had your phone number in the past. The only way to be sure your phone number hasn't been used before, is to ask the local phone company to provide a number that hasn't been provided to someone in the past. Which now a days is difficult to do.

DR said: Dr- No, there is no such number. What they do is, they go to a website that specializes in spoofing caller ID. So, for example, if their number is: 200-000-0001. Then what they do is they tell the company how they want the number to show instead of the above example. Its a blanket over the actual number. In this case, 000-000-0000

kansas rocker said: IF THE TEL COMPANY IS TELLING YOU THAT THERE IS NO SUCH NUMBER AS ALL ZEROS THEY ARE FULL OF IT BECAUSE THAT SAME NUMBER CALLS HERE ALSO.

FLR? said: I get called from it at least once a week, and it is always about winning a cruise.

Ticked off said: Yea I got two or three different calls from 000-000-0000  at different times this past year and again today. I tried calling it and I get the AT&T operator recording so obviously who ever called with that number today was spoofing their number.

DrPepper said: Oh weird, no sooner than I typed that last message, phone rings again, same number, and silence. I said Hello? then I said Please take my number off your list. I don't do business with people who spoof their numbers." then I heard the phone clicking off.

And wouldn't you know it, freaked me out and I forgot to ask "what color is your underwear?"

MAN!!

A Heating and Cooling Company said: Oh that's funny! I'll have to remember to ask, "What Color Is Your Underwear"....

unfortunately some might be only a little TOO happy to tell me....
