By the way: Georgia (area code 404) has the most attorney's - in ratio to population; that any other State in the Country......check out the Georgia phone book...at least 1/4 of the yellow pages are attorney's. Guess they've got nothing better to do that try and collect alleged debts.

confused said: It is a "law office" for the "purpose of debt collection".  But I just returned the call, was told to "hang on a minute", and was disconnected.  Guess they don't want my $$ too badly!

Fyn said: This is CompuCredit, Atlanta, GA.  They are a collection agency for a credit card company - Aspire - to whom I owe a balance.  Collector was very courteous and we've reached a monthly payment plan.  He confirmed my account information and did not request that I provide any additional personal or financial information.

BagBoy said: I received several calls from this number 404-736-2083 and finally decided to answer it.  I talked with several individuals and they were reluctant to give me their firm's name, the person I was speaking to and the address of the company.  Supposedly they are collecting on a debt from another Collection Agency (NES in Ohio).  I reported NES to the BBB and was able to get them off of my back due to their intimidation and threatening tactics.  Look like I am going to have to do this again.  I will be contacting my lawyer, because when I wanted to work with the the credit card company they claimed it was out of their hands.  Now another fake #@* company is trying to intimidate me into giving them something that I don't have.  I suggest that everyone visiting this site contact the BBB on this company.  I will soon as I finish this.

GWA said: Got my number from internet after searching for anyone with the last name of who they are looking for in the same city. (Know for a fact since the person they are looking for does not know my land line number) Call repeadetly even after i tell them i have no information for them - the number i have for her is no good. I also tell them i probably won't see them till the holidays. got 5 calls from various numbers for the same place in the last 2 days. This is a violation of code [15 us 1692b], now looking for what to do next.
