Kimberley said: A male caller with a heavy Indian type accent claimed to be calling from Microsoft about a problem with my computer. He was difficult to understand and we had a very bad connection. I do not own a PC so I simply hung up on him. Obviously it was sort sort of scam.
Adam said: The same people just called my house saying he was from the windows team advisin me about potential viruses that my computer will be in contact with while surfing the net, so I stopped him and said that I know he's some third party virus protection provider and that he's not calling from microsoft and them when I said that, he said "you are a f*cking asshole" so I said "I beg your pardon?" And he said it again and called me a "f*cking idiot" and then hung up the phone on me. I wish there was a way of contacting these people directly because that was severely rude and uncalled for
anonymous said: They claim to be a support team for Microsoft. Sounds like they are calling from India and definitely from a call center. Not saying this is connected or anything, but after I hung up on them, my computer slowed way down. Since I use Comcast Voice, my phone is connected through my modem. I am panicking that they might have been able to enter my computer through a back door program sent via my phone as there was a moment of pause before he began to speak. I would recommend not answering this call at all.
