Caller ID: "unknown name

Gayle said: I honestly don't think it's an HP issue. I have a Dell laptop and have experienced the same thing. I'm also on the Do Not Call registry and have call blocking for whatever individual "unknown" numbers pop up, unfortunately these scammers have access to hundreds of new numbers and if you block one they replace it with others. Good luck!

Gayle said: Lately I've been getting a lot of phone calls from what claims to be Microsoft telling me if I don't call I will be locked out of my computer and other nonsense. Others have had the same thing happen. I don't answer any calls that have "unknown name" or name unavailable", but sometimes I'll call them back later. I'm on the do not call registry and I have call blocking but unfortunately these people don't play by the rules. The number changes frequently so if you block one there are twenty more to take its place. I'm just assuming this is the same caller. On the rare occasion I decide to call them back I always get an automated voice message telling me all lines are busy and to try later. If anyone has any suggestions on how to keep ALL "unknown names" from calling, I'd love to know.

Company / Organization: WM Positions
Reported Location: falmouth

Gayle said: I just got the same call, robot like caller whom I didn't figure out for about 2 minutes, thought it was a bad connection. When I asked for the company name I got WM Positions. When I asked where they were located...the answer was NO then he went on to say he had all the information he needed. He had only asked if I was over 18 and a graduate from HS. Then wanted me to spell out my name only gave him my first name until I came suspicious. I hung up.
